Muncey Wins in Owensboro
|
Bill Muncey drove his Atlas Van Lines to a repeat of his earlier Miami victory by winning the Kentucky Governor's Cup race at Owensboro, Ky., on June 11. As he had the week earlier in Florida, Billy Schumacher piloted Pride of Pay N Pak to second honors. Muncey set new course records: lap -113.636 m.p.h.; heat -106.529; and race -106.146.
